Terms of service
Last updated 15 August 2026
These terms govern your use of KURDim ("kurd.im", "we", "us"). By registering an account, you agree to them.
1. The service
KURDim provides a paid @kurd.im email mailbox: 10 GB of storage, real POP/IMAP access usable from any mail client, and a branded webmail interface. There is no free plan. Pricing is $10/month per mailbox, billed monthly or yearly.
2. Accounts
One person (the "Owner") registers with accurate identity details and holds one payment card that funds every mailbox under them. Additional mailboxes ("subaccounts") can be added under the same Owner, each billed and suspended independently. A mailbox address cannot be changed once created.
You're responsible for keeping your password and recovery key safe. Losing your recovery key without a working password or working two-factor authentication may make your account permanently unrecoverable - this is by design, the same way a lost hardware wallet key can't be recovered by us.
3. Acceptable use
Your mailbox may not be used to send spam, unsolicited bulk mail, or marketing email. This includes any mass-mailing campaign sent to a list that hasn't gone through a genuine double opt-in process (each recipient signed up, then confirmed their address) - regardless of how the list was assembled. Purchased, rented, or scraped contact lists are never acceptable, even with a double opt-in claim attached.
Ordinary one-to-one correspondence is fine, including messages about a specific business matter - it's bulk, campaign-style sending that's prohibited, not individual conversation.
Each mailbox is limited to 400 outbound emails per hour, matching our mail provider's own limit - you may not create additional mailboxes solely to get around it. "Warm-up" services or techniques intended to inflate a new mailbox's sending reputation are not allowed. Automated mail to other providers must be intended for a human recipient, not high-volume bot traffic.
Your mailbox is for your own (or your business's own) use - it may not be resold or sublet as a bulk-sending service for someone else's mail.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate a mailbox used this way, including outside the graduated timeline in Section 5, where necessary to protect the mail infrastructure and other customers. Because we operate on top of MXRoute's mail infrastructure, a violation can also trigger action directly from them - including suspension and, for confirmed intentional spam, reporting to third-party anti-abuse databases. Distributing malware, phishing, fraud, or otherwise violating applicable law is prohibited regardless of volume.
4. Billing
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see your full card number. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard - cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we don't prorate or refund the remaining days of a period you've already paid for, except where required by law.
Mailboxes can also be funded with a prepaid code instead of a card, redeeming for a fixed length of coverage.
5. Suspension & termination
If a mailbox's payment fails, access is reduced on a graduated timeline rather than an immediate cutoff:
- Immediately: outgoing mail is disabled, to protect the shared mail infrastructure's reputation.
- Up to 6 months unpaid: the mailbox still receives mail and you can still sign in to pay and reactivate.
- 6-12 months unpaid: normal sign-in is disabled, but a reduced pay-to-reactivate screen stays available. Mail still keeps arriving.
- At 12 months unpaid: the mailbox and its contents are permanently deleted. The address is held on a cooldown period afterward before it can be registered again.
Paying at any point during this window restores the mailbox in full, charged forward from that payment - never back-billed for the missed months.
6. Your content
You own the content of your mailbox. We host it to provide the service and don't scan it for advertising or sell it to third parties.
7. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is." While we take reasonable measures to keep mail delivery and account access reliable, we don't guarantee uninterrupted service, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from its use, to the extent permitted by law. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify active account owners.
